"Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works
And give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
~ Matthew 5:16 ~
Photography
A snapshot to capture a memory. A stunning landscape in black and white. The abstraction of extreme closeups. I love taking an everyday scene and looking at it from new angles and different perspectives.
Photography, for me, is a fun way to blend art and science. Light is captured through reflection and refraction; exposure is determined by f-stops and focal length. But ultimately, an image is beautiful because of the emotional human connection.
Aviation
From the first day man observed the birds soaring high above the earth, he longed to join them in the spacious skies. Aviation is a truly remarkable discipline as it blends the lines between science (aerodynamics, physics, electronics, hydraulics, meteorology, cartography, physiology, etc.) and the beauty of experiencing the world from a unique vantage point.
Music
What do you hear when you listen to music? The definition of music varies depending on who you ask. I see music as an emotional connection to sound and rhythm.
Starting piano lessons at age 5, I have spent my entire life around music. Whether relaxing after a long day at work or performing under the lights on stage, I enjoy every opportunity to use the talents God has given me.
Eventually, I hope to include some recordings on this site. But for now I am accompanying hymns at a local church and performing with the Castle Rock Orchestra.
